Our Mission
Harvard Medical School (HMS), established in 1782, is the graduate medical school affiliated with Harvard University. Located in the Longwood Medical Area in Boston, Massachusetts, HMS is accompanied by Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH), Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM), as well as several hospitals and research institutions, including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Joslin Diabetes Center. Muslims affiliated with these schools, hospitals, and research institutions formally organized the “Harvard Longwood Campus Muslims” group in August, 2001.
