Our Mission
The Harvard Pan-Asian Coalition of Liberation was founded in April 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and increasing intensity and awareness for anti-Black violence — more specifically, the murders of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, Tony McDade, and countless others. Recognizing that racism and anti-Blackness are embedded in our national history and consciousness, as well as within Asian American communities, PACL was founded as an organizing space for pan-Asian students at the Harvard Medical and Dental Schools, specifically dedicated toward fighting for not only justice, but for liberation from all systems of oppression.
